While a rainy Summer delayed this seasons match, the Rounders Picnic “2007 Tournament” eventually took place at the end of September.

The Pru Team made the most of late Summer sunshine and displayed some excellent and ambitious rounders skills.

Satbir laid down the challenge, claiming her vast experience as "Captain of the rounder’s team at school" left her in charge. As soon as Laddie mastered the ‘drop’ concept, the game got underway, with Jay leading as the man of the match batting 6 home runs.

A sporting injury which saw Kelly skidding into the first post – after only half a glass of wine –
left her with a bruised knee and swollen leg.

The youngest player, Josh Joy, displayed early indication of a rounders pro in the making.



It was good start to team training – ahead of the 2008 Pru Team London to Brighton bike ride – but more effort is definitely required. If you are interested in signing up to join the bike ride next year; raising money for the British Heart Foundation, please contact Rionne@preuveneers.net
