Texting revolution… Immediate updates via SMS

According to a recent report by the BBC, by 2009 more than four billion people in the world - out of a population of 6.3 billion - are expected to have a mobile phone.

The texting revolution provides immediate and direct contact, delivering short sharp messages straight away. We are making best use of text messaging in the conveyancing process.

We are using SMS to contact our clients with updates and urgent messages at time-critical stages of their legal matter; such as at the exchange of contracts stage in a conveyancing transaction.  Our clients can now be contacted immediately – wherever they are.

We have been working with London South Bank University, to research the logistics of texting clients and the legal implications involved. It's important, as Solicitors, to fully document a legal matter, so that all contact with clients and other parties is recorded.   In order to do this we have integrated a text messaging workflow into our case management system.  We have also been using a Voice over Internet Protocol system to send out stand-alone text messages.

We are using technology to ensure the Firm's motto: 'Keeping in Touch with the People that matter' is made an even greater reality, through the use of text messaging and online case tracking.

Case tracking enables access to the documentation of each matter via the web and is another way for clients to keep up to speed with the developments of their legal matter.
